The "finger" game!Intro
Well, it's just a small little game you can play with your friends. Concerning its name, either it doesn't really have a name where he got the "finger" name I gave him, or never anybody pronounced its name in front of me. Now you should pass on...
Materials needed
2 pairs of 5 fingers or 2 hands with all its fingers (nails not compulsory)
Knowledge needed
Adding, subtracting and dividing.
How to set
As simple as each player putting their two hands in front of them as if they had a gun in their hands and were going to shoot with the forearm perpendicular to the upper arm and pointing out the index of each hand. Clear?
How to play?
Well, first of all, your goal is to make your enemy lose. For that, you need to win. To win, you need to read the rules. To read the rules, you need good eyes. To have good eyes, you need to eat carrots. Do you eat carrots? If no, you have nothing to do here.
Next, the rules. So, each player will alternate their turns when they have finish to play. A turn consists of a player that uses one of his two hands to touch one of the enemies' hands. That will result in adding the number of finger(s) you have in your hand to the hand you decided to touch. In the first turn, as both players have one finger in each hands, the first to start, will add one finger to the other player who will pull out another finger so as to show 2 fingers.
N.B.: The player who touches the other players hand keeps the same number of fingers in his hand.
It continues like this until one player has both of his hands "dead", the loser. To "kill" the enemy's hand, the latter must reach 5 fingers. At that EXACT number of fingers, it "dies". When a hand dies, just remove it from sight to show it's dead. I both hands of a player die, he lose.
Now, some more difficult rules. If a player have an even number (2,4) of fingers in one hand and the other hand is dead, he can share the fingers he has in one hand with the other by giving the other half the number he currently has in one hand. To do this, clap in your hands and add and remove the required fingers so as each hands has the same number of fingers. After dividing, you can still touch your enemy's hand to play.
An e.g. is when one player has 4 fingers in one hand and his other hand is dead and claps in his hands and shows two hands each with 2 fingers. After that, he is obliged to touch one of the enemy's hand.
Just like in chess, you are always obliged to play. In other words, you can't pass your turn. It often results in trapping the enemy whose obliged to give you the knive for you to finish him.
Sometimes, when there are additions of fingers which result in more than 5 fingers (which will often occur), what you do is you get the total of both touching hands and you subtract the total by 5. The result you get is the number of finger(s) the hand touched will have to bear. Another way to know the result is to simply add finger by finger the number of fingers that touched you until you get to 5 then you continue with you index.
Thus, it can be summed up up to:
Well, now you've got what you need to play the "finger" game. Have fun and if you need more, here's a variable to this game, refered to as "The False" whereas the rules you just read is for the so-called "The True". Don't forget you can play in groups of 3, 4 or more and pair up to win or do a "everybody against everybody" to show your superiority.
total result 6 1 7 2 8 3
